Delete your account

Deletion is permanent. It erases your progress, streak, scores, and leaderboard history, and any Virtual Items you earned or bought are forfeited without refund (Terms §6). If you want a copy of your data, export it first — you can't retrieve it afterwards.

1. How to request deletion

Glyph Rush accounts are anonymous — we never ask for your name or email to play. Your data hangs off a randomly generated player id. That shapes how deletion works, so please read Section 4 before you send a request.

In the app

Open Glyph Rush and use the account-deletion option in Settings. This is the most reliable route, because the app already knows your player id and can authenticate the request.

By email

Email privacy@glyphrush.com with the subject “Delete my account.” To let us find your record, include:

  • your player id, if you have it; and/or
  • whether you linked Apple or Google sign-in, and the email on that account.

You do not need to reinstall the app to make this request. We may need to verify the request before acting on it, and we will respond within the time required by law.

2. What gets deleted

  • your player record and anonymous player id;
  • cloud saves, progress, and your streak;
  • submitted Daily Trial scores and the encoded run replays we keep to verify them;
  • your leaderboard entries and display name; and
  • any linked Apple or Google sign-in identifier we hold for cross-device restore.

Deletion is processed asynchronously: the request is scheduled, and the purge completes by the date returned when you make it. Backups and logs are cycled out on their normal retention schedule.

3. What we keep, and why

  • Purchase records. In-app purchases are processed by Apple, not by us. Apple holds your transaction and billing history under its own policies — deleting your Glyph Rush account does not delete it, and does not refund it. Refunds go through Apple (Terms §7).
  • Anything we must retain by law — for example, records needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims (Privacy Policy §12).
  • Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer reasonably be used to identify you (Privacy Policy §9).

4. Export your data first

You can request a copy of the data associated with your player id before you delete it. Use the data-export option in the app, or email privacy@glyphrush.com with the subject “Export my data.” We provide the export as a time-limited download link.

5. A limit you should know about

Because accounts are anonymous by design, your player id is the only thing that ties your data to you. We hold no name, email, or phone number for a player who has not linked a sign-in provider.

That means: if you have deleted the app, never linked Apple or Google sign-in, and no longer have your player id, we may be genuinely unable to identify which record is yours — there is nothing connecting it to your email address. We are not being obstructive; the data simply is not linked to your identity. If you are in this position, email us anyway and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do.

6. Other privacy rights
