Glyph Rush is designed to collect as little about you as possible. You can play the daily puzzle without creating a traditional account, and we never ask for your name or email to play.
What we collect
- Device-anonymous account. On first launch the app generates a random install identifier and creates an anonymous player id. This lets your scores, streak, and saved progress follow you across sessions. It is not tied to your real-world identity.
- Gameplay data. When you submit a daily run we store your score, an encoded replay of your inputs (used to verify the run is legitimate), and the puzzle date. Leaderboards are spoiler-safe: we show bands, ranks, word lengths and colors — never the words you played.
- Optional sign-in. If you link Apple or Google, we store only the opaque identifier that provider returns so your progress can be restored on a new device.
- Diagnostics & ads. With your consent, we use aggregate analytics and, in the free version, advertising. You can decline non-essential tracking at any time.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or the content of your games beyond the encoded replay needed to validate scores. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices & rights
- Export. You can request a copy of the data associated with your player id from within the app.
- Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data from within the app; this removes your player record, saves, and submitted scores.
- Consent. Analytics and advertising are off until you opt in, and can be turned off again in settings.
Data retention & security
Data is stored on AWS in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Submitted replays are retained only as long as needed to validate scores and operate leaderboards.
Children
Glyph Rush is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
